The dunes of the Namib desert are the oldest and highest in the world. At some places they rising more than 300 metres above the desert floor.
When we decided to attack the flank side of the dune, to take a shortcut to the top to see the sunset… well it was a mistake! It’s much harder to climb that way. When we were high enough to see over the valley we just fall down in the soft sand from exhaustion, enjoying the sunset together.
